There are two sides of the type of work I do, corsets and costumes for professional performers and my range of accessible corsets.
After years of designing my own corsets I really enjoy the collaborations with working from design briefs from performers. Costumes for performers are very much about bringing their ideas and designs into life, starting with chatting through the fabrics and possibilities. Often we use zippers for seamless changes, matching skirts that can be easily removed for a big reveal and props to be taken into account. Being flexible and problem solving is essential part of a successful job.
